Hi There! I am Janet (she/her). I hope this is the start of our journey together.

Find the Right Fit

Therapy only works when you feel comfortable and truly connected with your therapist. Because finding the right match is so essential to your healing journey, I offer a 45-minute no-cost consultation. Think of it as a chance to test-drive the experience, ask questions, share what you’re going through, and see if we click before making any financial commitment.

Janet Maclean (she/her), Registered Provisional Psychologist

As a Registered Provisional Psychologist and a member of the Riverwest Therapy Collective, I meet with my supervisor and join group consultations weekly. That’s right! Even when we are not in session together, I am still working and thinking of ways I can best help you.

What to Expect

Your 3-Step Journey

1. Your No-Cost Consultation: 45 minutes | No obligation.

Start by booking a no-cost 45-minute consultation so we can get to know each other, discuss what you’re looking for, and ensure we’re a great fit.

2. Preparing for our Time Together:

Before the consultation session, you’ll complete a few online forms at your own pace. In our first meeting, we’ll review confidentiality, discuss what privacy means for you, and ensure all your questions are answered.

3. A Tailored, Holistic Approach:

Together, we’ll “zoom out” to look at the whole picture, your relationships, community, environment, and core values, to create an integrative treatment plan tailored specifically to your life and needs.

My Commitment to You

  • Promoting Safe & Inclusive Space: I strive to create an environment where individuals of all ages, abilities, ethnicities, cultures, gender identities, sexual orientations, and spiritualities feel genuinely welcome, seen, and safe.
  • Affirming & Equity-Focused: I recognize the impact of barriers on mental health. While I cannot fix systemic issues single-handedly, I am dedicated to holding space for you and helping you navigate them. Every individual deserves a space where their unique story is heard, validated, and respected without judgment.
  • Integrative & Evidence-Based Care: I blend techniques from multiple therapeutic models to serve your mind, body, thoughts, and sensations as a connected whole.
