Assessments
Attention/Deficit and Hyperactivity (ADHD) Assessment
Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) starts in childhood and continues into adulthood and is often is undiagnosed. Many adults and children experience challenges with focus, organization, time management, or restlessness, without realizing ADHD may be a factor. A comprehensive ADHD assessment can provide clarity by exploring your unique strengths, challenges, and patterns of attention and behaviour and give you answers that bring relief and direction. Knowing if ADHD is present can be an essential step toward improving daily functioning, stress and anxiety, relationships, and overall well-being. ADHD assessments include a thorough clinical interview, evidence-based assessment tools, measurements, and questionnaires, as well as individualized feedback, along with recommendations for support and treatment options tailored to your needs.
To start the process, book a no-cost assessment consultation appointment. The whole process typically takes 2-4 hours and can be done in-person or virtually.
Adult Psychological Educational (Psychoeducational) Assessment
Maybe you remember struggling with focus, memory, reading, writing, or math in childhood and have learned to adapt or compensate for these challenges as an adult. A lifetime of compensating for learning or social challenges can be exhausting. An adult psychoeducational assessment can help uncover how you learn, process information, and problem-solving by providing insight into your strengths, needs, and social and emotional health. A psychoeducational assessment can help adults who are planning to return to school or trying to navigate social or workplace challenges.
Child/Youth Psychological Educational (Psychoeducational) Assessment
A child/youth psychoeducational assessment measures how they learn, understand, and apply information, and what they have learned so far (academic achievement), as well as emotional and behavioural strengths and concerns. The assessment helps identify learning differences, attention challenges, developmental concerns, and social-emotional factors that may be affecting success at school, or their home and social life. Early identification and targeted support can make a significant difference in a child’s confidence, academics, and social-emotional health and well-being.
The psychoeducation assessment includes a thorough clinical interview, evidence-based assessment tools, measurements, and parent and teacher (when appropriate) questionnaires. You will receive a detailed report outlining results, findings, diagnoses (if applicable) along with individualized feedback and recommendations for support, accommodations, and treatment options.
To start the process, book a no-cost assessment consultation appointment. The whole process typically takes 8 hours and can be booked over two sessions. I only offer in-person psychoeducational assessments.
